Series II - 1958-1971

The Series II had its debut in 1958, offering a number of technical improvements over the Series 1. Visually, the Series II had curved window sills and an overall less boxy style.

Series IIA was in production from 1961-1971, and is considered one of the most hardy series models constructed. It was this model that first saw the headlights move to the wings. Fun Fact - the Series II was the last Land Rover who's grille could be removed and used to actually grill meat over the fire. If you have tried this - let us know!
