ANARC invites Land Rover enthusiasts across the continent to the Greek Peak Mountain Resort June 14 through 18\, 2023. \n\n\n\nThe completely-renovated Greek Peak Mountain Resort provides ample room for primitive camping\, camper hookups\, and ensuite rooms in the Greek Peak Lodge. Diamond Jubilee activities will include ANARC Cup RTV competition\, off-roading\, vendor exhibition\, special guests\, Land Rover showcase and other activities that promise to be exciting for the entire family. The Diamond Jubilee Celebration Dinner will take place on the outdoor Overlook on Friday. DESCRIPTION:Yes\, it is that time of year when many of the older Land Rovers begin to stir and get pulled from mustybarns and other storage locations where they have been sleeping through the winter. This event is asgood an excuse as any for you to get your Land Rover stirring and on the road. It will also give youabout six weeks of time to correct all of the major faults that are found with your vehicle so it is fullyready for the Birthday Party in June! \n\n\n\nThe Event: For the past thirty five years or so years\, local members of OVLR have been irregularlygathering at various locations for an annual tune up session. It is an opportunity for members whosemechanical skills may be in need of some practice. There will be members there who are very familiarin the operation and maintenance of these vehicles there that will be more than happy to help guide youand explain what you should be doing to keep your vehicle in top shape. \n\n\n\nGetting There: take the 417 to the St-Laurent exit\, and go head north\, Shore st Automotive is about 800m up on the left hand side.

DESCRIPTION:To all OVLR full members\, the next event is looming! \n\n\n\nThis will be a day trip starting at 8:45 in Kanata or 10:15 in Renfrew\, you may choose your starting point\, but we require know which one you choose. This will be a paved and gravel event so you can bring a Land Rover or a sedan. You are responsible for all food and drink for yourselves and bring a chair. Dogs are welcome\, but on leash. Actual bathroom facilities are only available in Renfrew and Eganville. If nature calls while on the Opeongo trail\, be prepared and bring your own TP. \n\n\n\nThe first convoy will travel from Kanata\, Carp Rd\, March Rd\, Dwyer Hill to Pakenham\, through Waba and Burnstown and on to Renfrew\, duration about 80-90 minutes. Once on the Opeongo trail\, we will visit some of the valley’s smallish towns. There will be a 45-minute lunch break around 12:30 in Clontarf. More small towns and history after lunch and then onto Eganville by mid-afternoon. Bathroom break and gas available there. Looping back to Renfrew for about 4:00pm. We are resurrecting the event this fall. \n\n\n\nSept 23rd-25th Rovers Out At Calabogie (ROAC) joint off road weekend with LRAA and OVLR will be held. \n\n\n\nThe event will take place at Black Donald Tent and Trailer Park. The weekend of September 23-25th 2022. \n\n\n\nAdmission Includes: Guided offroad trail runs. Tent camping\, (1 tent per vehicle).Breakfast Saturday and Sunday\, Catered supper Saturday night. \n\n\n\n$70 for Truck and Driver$70 for additional attendeesChildren 12 and under are free. \n\n\n\nRV’s and/or camper trailers must book an additional campsite directly with Black Donald as there limited space on the main sites. https://blackdonaldtntpark.ca/ \n\n\n\nThere is space at Black Donald for truck and trailer parking for those of you who trailer your Land Rovers to the event but it is away from the camp sites that are reserved for the event. \n\n\n\nFuel is available in the town of Calabogie which is ten minutes from the campground. All members must fuel up prior to arriving at the camp site. \n\n\n\nWhen you arrive at the Campground check in with the office\, tell them you are with the Land Rover Club and you will be directed to the appropriate site 40-41 to register and then set up camp. \n\n\n\nREGISTRATION Via the button below \n\n\n\nElectronic registration is mandatory \n\n\n\nALL REGISTRANTS MUST BE A FULLY PAID MEMBER OF OVLR OR LRAA TO ATTEND. SUMMARY:Opeongo Trail Day Trip
DESCRIPTION:Opeongo Day Trip. Gravel and back-road exploring at it’s finest: One of several colonization routes proposed by the Canadian government in the early 1850’s\, the Opeongo was to follow a westward course from the Ottawa River\, to Opeongo Lake in present-day Algonquin Park\, and eventually link with Georgian Bay. Initially populated by European immigrants who had been lured to this new country with promises of grants of fertile farm land\, the dream of developing a farming base which would rival that of Upper Canada was dashed by the realities of rocky\, shallow soils\, poor drainage and a short growing season.  \n\n\n\nThe days route will be led through the historic route with a variety of stops to see the vibrant springtime life in the area. The Route will begin from the Cheshire Cat in Carp and head northwest from there.

DESCRIPTION:PLEASE REGISTER ALL ADULTS 14+ YRS HERE \n\n\n\nPLEASE REGISTER ALL CHILDREN 6-13 YRS HERE \n\n\n\nPLEASE REGISTER ALL CHILDREN up to 5 YRS HERE \n\n\n\nOur annual marquee event is our club birthday party.  This is a three day event of camping\, activities and off road driving.  View the full schedule by clicking here or check the bottom of this post. \n\n\n\nBreakfast is included Saturday and Sunday and Saturday dinner is catered for all registrants.  This is a family friendly event and children will find it enjoyable\, dogs are welcome.   There is always trail grooming and preparations on Thursday and you are welcome to come one day early and make it a four day event. \n\n\n\nThis event is held near Silver Lake\, Ontario.  The diverse terrain of the Madawaska Highlands and area\, (bedrock\, cedars swamp\, and mud) is exceptionally good for testing your skill and the limits of your Land Rover in off road conditions. \n\n\n\nSilver Lake is located about sixty miles west of Ottawa on Highway 7. It is just a few kilometers from Sharbot Lake and about a half hour drive to Perth.  The event is open to all Land Rovers – Series Land Rovers\, Range Rovers\, Defenders\, Freelanders\, LR2\, LR3\, LR4 as well as Discoveries. If you have a non Land Rover you are also invited. \n\n\n\nCertain activities will only be for Land Rovers (such as the RTV Trials\, Land Rover displays.) Because of our insurance requirements you must be a registered member of OVLR to drive at any OVLR event.  Drivers must also be members of OF4WD for insurance purposes. DESCRIPTION:Yes\, it is that time of year when many of the older Land Rovers begin to stir and get pulled from mustybarns and other storage locations where they have been sleeping through the winter. This event is asgood an excuse as any for you to get your Land Rover stirring and on the road. It will also give youabout six weeks of time to correct all of the major faults that are found with your vehicle so it is fullyready for the Birthday Party in June! \n\n\n\nThe Event: For the past thirty five years or so years\, local members of OVLR have been irregularlygathering at various locations for an annual tune up session. It is an opportunity for members whosemechanical skills may be in need of some practice. There will be members there who are very familiarin the operation and maintenance of these vehicles there that will be more than happy to help guide youand explain what you should be doing to keep your vehicle in top shape. \n\n\n\nGetting There: 4362 Carp Road\, is in Ottawa’s west end formerly West Carleton. Take the 417 to the carp road exit and head north. The entrance to the property is on the right hand side about 13.5 km (8.25 miles for the editor) from the highway. The entrance is a private road and our gracious host is the second property in on the right.

SUMMARY:2022 Maple Syrup Rally
DESCRIPTION:(Mother Nature alternate day – May 1\, 2022) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are excited to bring back in-person events in 2022 starting with the 2022 MSR! This is typically a one day event though over many years people have come and spent an overnight late winter camping prior to the outdoor breakfast and the first off-road drive of the season. \n\n\n\nThe cost covers breakfast and coffee as well as the guided of road drive on local trails and byways. \n\n\n\nWe will run one or the other of a convoy from the Cheshire Cat to the Quyon Ferry (probably $10 fee on the ferry) or from Westgate at 8:30 if there is a need and if there is a volunteer. \n\n\n\nArrive at 9:00 or a bit later for coffee and to help setup\, breakfast starting at 11:00\, off-road around 1:00pm. If you NEED caffeine early\, bring one with you!
